The Infamous Red Chair?

One of the readers of "Falling Into Infinity" spotted this red chair in her grandmother's house. I love it! It's not quite what I had envisioned when I was writing the scenes with the chair, but it's pretty close. By the way, the red chair makes an appearance in "From Now Until Infinity."

Big Bertha!

I've had readers share some interesting pictures that remind them of "Falling Into Infinity." I thought, "why keep them to myself." So... Here's what one reader thinks Big Bertha looks like. I don't know. What do you think?

"From Now Until Infinity" Summary!

Here's the summary for "From Now Until Infinity." I just read the final, edited book, and I have to say that I'm in love. I can't wait until August 15!

Eight years have passed since Colin and Caroline “Charlie” ended their college romance. A chance meeting reunited them confirming that time had not diminished their love for each other. Now, they have to turn their passionate reunion into a legitimate and sustainable relationship. Charlie’s medical practice is in Houston. Colin is the starting quarterback for Dallas. Distance is not the only obstacle to their happiness. There’s Colin’s (maybe?) ex-girlfriend, entertainment reporter Sasha Stone who’s granted the first ever tell-all interview about Colin’s personal life. There’s Charlie’s father who is part owner of their medical practice and blames Colin for Charlie’s battle with an eating disorder.  What about the demands of the media and Colin’s rabid fans? “From Now Until Infinity” continues the journey of Colin and Charlie that began, ended, and began again in “Falling Into Infinity.”

"From Now Until Infinity" Rewrites

Final rewrites are sitting in the editor's email . <Sigh> I hate this part. It's like sending my kid to the first day of kindergarten. I know that I have to let "From Now Until Infinity" go because if I don't y'all will never get to read it. But, I hate that I can't micromanage it anymore. Just one more little tweak...

Book Two Actually Has a Cover and Title!

I feel like I should write something incredibly poetic that will make birds sing and flowers weep... Instead, I'll just show you the cover because it's WOW (in my very humble opinion). Thank you to Michelle because when I was fretting over a cover for Falling Into Infinity she calmed me down, and then exceeded my expectations with such a beautiful cover. When I needed a cover for book two and was freaking out because seriously how could she top book one, she gave me this...

I really want to wallpaper my office with it (or him?). From Now Until Infinity will be available in August. I should have the actual release date next week.

Add it to your "to read" list on GoodReads (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18172215-from-now-until-infinity)...

Book Two - Snippet #7

We walk to CafĂ© du Monde, and I order a basket of beignets and a cup of their famous coffee. The first sip is almost orgasmic it tastes so good. I must moan in pleasure because Colin says with a sly grin, “I thought I was the only one that could make you moan like that.”
I laugh and flush bright red embarrassed by my obvious displays of pleasure .
“Don’t be shy, Charlie!” he chuckles. “Let me hear you.”
Then, I get a brilliant idea. I pick up a powdered sugar beignet and wipe it across my lips as if I’m putting on lipstick. “Baby, do I have something on my mouth?” Totally setting Colin up for a sophomoric sex joke.
Without missing a beat, he replies, “Just a little bit of white, creamy goodness.”

Book Two - Snippet #6

I’ve always loved this particular oak tree. When I was a kid, my sisters and I would ride our bikes past this house because it was a challenge to navigate under its long, sturdy branches that even today still drape over the sidewalk. It felt like we were entering a cave or secret hiding place that only we knew about. Families from the neighborhood posed for Christmas pictures using this magnificent tree as the background. It must be over 200-years-old.  Its trunk is so thick that even as an adult, I can’t wrap my arms around it. The trees branches are as big as most normal trees’ trunks. Its branches have always reminded me of sculpted arms waiting to hold and support the kids in the neighborhood that need its shelter. Right now, those arms that the tree branches remind me of have landed me in my therapist office staring out the window at my favorite tree.

Book Two - Snippet #5

When I feel somewhat calmer, I explain. “Colin, this’s our first taste of what the next few months are going to be like. Your friends and teammates don’t know our history because most of them weren’t around when we dated your first year in the NFL. All they know is that you haven’t been publicly linked with that many women. Sasha came to your games and stayed at your house. She’s a very likeable person and a celebrity at that. They don’t understand how easily you could’ve walked away from her and be so serious about me so quickly. There are going to be lots of questions and speculation.”

Book Two - Snippet #4

He takes advantage of this opportunity to push me up against a plaster wall that's flaking away exposing the red, aged brick underneath. Colin demands my swollen, abused lips again. I gladly allow him access. When he’s finished kissing me, he looks into my lavender eyes with a fierceness that's reserved for football and me. He firmly states, making sure I hear every word, “I’ll add this to my list of things that I don’t care about. I don’t care what anyone thinks of our relationship. I don’t care who sees me making out with my girl. You’re mine, and you aren’t going anywhere.”

There’s a small part of me that would like to salute him because he’s so serious and determined. I choose to allow him to drag me back to our hotel room instead.

Book Two - Snippet #3

In honor of the Fourth of July...

Colin orders a glass of water. I’m sipping one of their signature drinks, the Rainbow. It’s almost too pretty to drink, but I do anyway. It’s so good that I make a mental note to just have one because I 've got a feeling that it’s pretty strong. It doesn't take long for the piano players to recognize Colin and begin playing the theme from the television show Dallas. Colin laughs and tips his hat to them.

I grab a napkin and pen and quickly scratch my song request on it. Colin looks at me questioningly. I ignore him and take a five dollar bill out of my purse. I put the napkin and money on the piano. The piano player picks up the napkin and reads it. Then, she flashes me a wink and knowing smile.

Book Two Snippet #2

Here's today's snippet... Enjoy!

He pulls away first, shaking his head at my bravado, and looks at me with a sparkle in his eyes. “Dear God, Charlie. Are you asking me to make love to you on the Ferris wheel?”
Giggling, I reply as I look around appraisingly at the car that we're sitting in. “Maybe. I like the way that the car swings.” Raising my eyebrow, “It could be interesting.”

Book Two of the Infinity Series

Hey everyone! Great news on book two. The rewrites are finished, and it's back in the editor's inbox. Yay! I'm still on track for an August release.

So, in honor of book two being almost complete, I thought it would be fun to play a little game. Everyday for the next seven days, I'm going to post a picture and snippet from book two. With the last picture, on the seventh day, being the cover (which is HOT!) and title reveal.

Okay! Ready to play?

Colin’s back is to me and he’s staring out the hotel window at the Mississippi River, but he must sense my presence because he turns around and walks toward me grabbing my shoulder with his left hand and squeezing it. This’s the universal sign that Colin's upset. The degree that my shoulder's squeezed is a direct correlation to how upset that he is. By the way, that he’s gripping my shoulder, this is really bad.

Welcome!

Hey guys!

Welcome to my blog. I've been told that I'm not a real author until I have one. To be perfectly honest with you, I've tried doing blogs in the past, and I'm not very good at keeping them updated. So... We'll see how this goes.
